VistaLab Reagent Reservoirs, Bulk

 

Reservoirs have multiple features to help to limit “dead volume” or leftover residual liquid. This superior low retention maximizes reagent recovery up to 67% better than comparable reservoirs.

 

The trough-within-a-trough design funnels remaining liquid into a secondary deep channel, so leftover drops can be easily aspirated, preventing reagent waste. The secondary trough also helps improve pipetting consistency, ensuring every channel of a multi-channel pipette can draw up equal volumes.

 

Additionally, these reservoirs have a proprietary high-wettability, hydrophilic surface treatment that helps lower surface tension, causing liquid to spread rather than bead up. This assists in the prevention of water droplets clinging to walls.

 

VistaLab reservoirs are ergonomic and easy to use with molded graduations, pour spouts at every corner, and a wide base for better stability. 100 mL options are compatible with VistaLab 100 mL Reagent Reservoir Coolers and either come with lids or have lids that may be purchased separately.

An economical and more user-friendly alternative to PCR strip caps; no sore thumbs and fingers guaranteed!

Precision cut to a smaller dimension for sealing one PCR 8-tube strip or a single row of a 96-well PCR or deep-well storage plate whenever rows must be
selectively protected or accessed. FoilStrips remove easily with no splash back as can occur with strip-caps.

Helpful Tips:

  • A final sealing step is highly recommended in the thermal cycler because 8-tube strips flex during handling
  • Do not fold foil around sides of tubes

AlumaSeal® CS

With a 50 uM layer of acrylic adhesive that withstands cold storage at temperatures to -80 °C.

Unlike other sealing films in the AlumaSeal® group, AlumaSeal® CS sealing films are not recommended for PCR or thermocycling. A single non-perforated end tab simplifies application. Simply hold the tab and strip the backing from the body of the sealing film as it lays on the plate to avoid curling. Dimensions are 82.6 by 132.6 mm, including the single 9.5 mm end tab. AlumaSeal® CS sealing films are certified DNase-, RNase-, and nucleic-acid-free.
  • Specially formulated for cold storage to -80 °C
  • Excellent barrier properties to retard evaporation
  • Easily pierceable with pipet tips or robotic probes for sample recovery

Zone-Free Multilayer Film

Zone-Free is a multilayer film consisting of a top pierceable clear polyethylene film and a white polypropylene sublayer with 96 circular areas void of adhesive.

Application: Short-term storage and robotics
 
Temp. Range: -40°C to +90°C

The white sublayer aids in the alignment of the film to the plate; alignment of opposing corner wells ensures that all 96 wells will be properly aligned. The adhesive-free zones are 9mm on center to facilitate multi-channel pipetting without adhesive fouling of pipet tips or robotic probes.
