Hoefer® Mighty Small precast gels are high-performance mini polyacrylamide gels commonly used for protein separation. Utilizing the Bis-Tris buffer system, they effectively minimize protein modifications during electrophoresis, resulting in sharper and clearer protein bands with higher resolution.

Reagent Reservoir Cooler - Benchtop Cooling of Reagents

VistaLab™ 100 mL Reagent Reservoir Cooler
Reservoir cooler for VistaLab™ 100 mL reservoirs.
The VistaLab™ 100 mL Reagent Reservoir Cooler comes with three 100 mL VistaLab™ Reagent Reservoirs and three compatible lids. These coolers and reservoirs have multiple features to help to limit “dead volume” or leftover residual liquid. This superior low retention maximizes reagent recovery up to 67% better than comparable reservoirs.
The trough-within-a-trough design funnels remaining liquid into a secondary deep channel, so leftover drops can easily be aspirated, preventing reagent waste. The secondary trough also helps improve pipetting consistency, ensuring every channel of a multi-channel pipette can draw up equal volumes.
Additionally, reservoirs have a proprietary high-wettability, hydrophilic surface treatment that helps lower surface tension, causing liquid to spread rather than bead up. This also assists in the prevention of water droplets clinging to walls.
VistaLab™ reservoirs and reservoir coolers are ergonomic and easy to use with molded graduations, pour spouts at every corner, and a wide base for better stability.

Texan™ Reagent Reservoirs

Texan reagent reservoirs are reusable -- an environmentally sound alternative to disposable reagent reservoirs. Their extra-large capacity means fewer refills and time saved. The V-shaped basin is compatible with both eight- and twelve-place multiple pipettors with minimal reagent waste. Lids are removable -- attached with ball and socket hinges -- and latch tightly for secure storage of left-over reagents. With lids closed, Texan reagent reservoirs are stackable. A perimeter ridge on the lid prevents sliding. Construction is clear, chemical-resistant, autoclavable polypropylene. Molded graduation marks provide Vol indication at 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, and 150 mL.
Available sterile and non-sterile. Sterile reagent reservoirs are supplied in bags of 5, nonsterile in bags of 10, both within outer packages of 100.

Glow-Writer™ Pen
Glow Writeris a fine-point phosphorescent ink marking pen for making experimental notations and other markings on chemiluminescent and radioisotope-labeled substrate materials (e.g., transfer membranes, dried gels, genomic and proteomic matrices, etc.) being analyzed by X-ray film autography or electronic imaging. The unique marker delivers a phosphor-containing ink through a fine point porous nib. Before exposure to X-ray film, the phosphorescent writing is excited by room light. A phosphor ink having an optimum concentration of phosphor and a relatively short afterglow halflife (approximately 2-3 minutes) has been selected so that upon exposure to X-ray film,autographic exposures of almost any duration will be easily readable on the film.
