The PDQeX Nucleic Acid Extractor is a fully automated system that delivers high-quality, PCR-ready nucleic acids from even the most challenging samples in 5 to 15 minutes. Radically Simple, Enzyme-Driven Technology

• Uses a three-component system that seamlessly integrates within a single, disposable cartridge
• Mix of thermophilic proteinase and mesophilic cell wall-degrading enzymes systematically lyses cells, destroys nucleases, and releases nucleic acids without harsh solvents
• Extractor Cartridge made from thermos-responsive polymers; the cartridge acts as a self-contained microfluidic lab. Controlled heating creates pressure, forcing the lysate through a heat-burstable valve
• Sample is driven through a proprietary purification medium that removes inhibitors, like polyphenols and polysaccharides from plants and fungi, yielding exceptionally clean, unbiased DNA or RNA 

Unmatched Speed and Simplicity in a Compact Footprint

Fully automated process requires no centrifugation, vortexing, or manual pipetting after sample loading. Load your samples into the disposable cartridges and start the run. The compact device (~ 200 x 200 mm) processes 24 samples simultaneously and fits easily on any benchtop, in a laminar flow hood, and is portable enough for field use.

As both a benchtop and portable machine, the PDQeX is used by many customers in laboratory settings, but also deployed in the field, including rural Africa, waterside locations, and agricultural environments.
