Freedom Rocker BotBlot®

The Freedom Rocker BlotBot® is an automated blot processor. The fully programmable blot processing station automates the tedious incubation and washing steps required to process blots and gels, thus saving time and money through increased productivity. All trays receive the same reagent or wash buffer at the same time, in equal volumes, ensuring consistency.

Simply dispense individual reagents (in volumes as low as 3.5 mL) into appropriate trays and recover them separately. This allows the conservation of primary antibodies. The control panel has a large graphic display and intuitive layout making it easy to program protocols. These protocols can include different rocking speeds and times for each step.

BlotBot® with a clear window can be employed when using reagents that are not light-sensitive in western blots. BlotBot® with a blackout window is recommended when using fluorescent reagents in western blots to preserve their integrity.

  • Automated delivery and removal of buffers/reagents
  • Dispense and recover different antibodies or reagents in each tray
  • Only 3.5 mL or reagent per blot is needed due to specially designed trays
  • Reagent recovery
  • Easy to use-just plug in
  • Quiet, no air or vacuum connections necessary
  • Drip-proof quick-release connections
  • 2-year warranty

Benchmark™  Scientific QuEChERS Vortex Mixer

  • For use with QuEChERS and other sample prep methods
  • Powerful, hands-free shaking/vortexing
  • Pulsing program for interval mixing
  • Supplied with QuEChERS rack starter kit: 7 x 50 mL tubes, held horizontally 50 x 15 mL tubes, held vertically 50 x 1.5 / 2.0 mL tubes, held vertically

Benchmark's BenchMixer XLQ has been designed for use in QuEChERS and other sample prep methods. Supplied with racks for 50 mL tubes held horizontally and 15 mL and 1.5 / 2.0 mL tubes held vertically, it takes the place of traditional manual shaking in these applications.

Multiple samples can be processed simultaneously in the BenchMixer XLQ's large capacity racks, saving time and preventing operator fatigue. The vigorous, consistent shaking ensures all samples are exposed to identical conditions within the same batch of samples, as well as between batches.

The BenchMixer™ XLQ creates a true vortex in vertical sample racks by holding the top of the tube stationary while the bottom rotates in a 3.6 mm orbit. Time and speed are precisely controlled by the digital microprocessor. A pulse mode allows for more vigorous mixing. Quiet operation, minimal vibration and a long service life are guaranteed by the precisely balanced drive system and powerful motor.

Using the BenchMixer™ XLQ is simple. To load the sample racks, loosen the knobs on the stationary steel rods and raise the top sample plate. One rod is shorter than the other, allowing the plate to be lifted up and swiveled to one side. After samples are loaded, lower the plate into place and tighten the knobs. Select the desired speed and run time on the digital control panel and press start. The BenchMixer™ XLQ can perform unattended mixing for as little as 1 minute or up to 100 hours.

While the BenchMixer™ XLQ is configured primarily for QuEChERS protocols, additional racks are available to accommodate nearly any type of vessel commonly found in the laboratory (ask for details). Built for heavy-duty use, the instrument carries a 2-year warranty.

*Additional Racks or Replacement Racks available.  Call for details or search our website for the BV1010.
