PR1MA Potato Dextrose Agar

Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) is a versatile medium used for cultivating fungi, yeasts, and molds. It can be modified with acid or antibiotics to prevent bacterial growth and is commonly used for plate count methods in food, dairy, and cosmetic testing. PDA is suitable for growing clinically important yeast and molds. The nutrient-rich potato infusion in PDA promotes mold sporulation and pigment production in certain dermatophytes.

PR1MA Terrific Broth, Modified, Powder

Enriched media for maintenance and propagation of E. coli and plasmid growth. Produces higher cell densities resulting in greater yields of DNA or recombinant protein. Glycerol is used as a carbon source with this formulation instead of glucose as it will not ferment to acetic acid.

PR1MA Luria Broth 1 Gram Buffered Capsules [Miller's LB Broth]

High salt formula. Molecular Biology Grade. For maintenance and propagation of E. Coli.

Now available in convenient pre-measured and pre-mixed capsules. Prebuffered media eliminates messy weighing and pH adjustments.

Simply dissolve 25 capsules per 1 Liter of distilled water. Water must be 37°C or warmer to completely dissolve gelatin capsule. Agitate. Sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes before use. Buffer is set for 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25°C using a 10mM solution of Tris/Tris HCl. pH will vary depending on temperature.
