Add 1 capsule per 500 mL of water. Heat and stir until capsules are completely dissolved. Add 2ml of glycerol to mixture. Sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.

• Direction (Preparation): Add 2 capsules to one liter of purified water until evenly dispersed. Add 4ml of Glycerol to the mixture. Boil for one minute with stirring to completely dissolve. Distribute and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.

SOB Broth is recommended for use in cultivation of recombinant strains of E. Coli. It is a nutritionally rich growth medium for use in the preparation and transformation of competent cells.

Add 28 grams of Broth in 1 liter of distilled water. Heat gently to dissolve the medium completely. Dispense in tubes and sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.
