These 48-well U-bottom plates, available in both round and rectangular well formats, are specifically engineered for large-volume sample storage, processing, and analysis. With well capacities of 3.5 mL and 4.6 mL, these plates are ideal for applications requiring high sample volumes, such as:

  • Combinatorial chemistry
  • Environmental testing
  • Food and beverage analysis
  • Large-scale biological assays 

Each well features a thin-wall design to maximize usable volume and a unique elongated bottom trough, which functions as a reservoir for sample particulates, sedimentation, or viscous fluids. Raised rims on each well enhance sealing with adhesive films, silicone mats, or heat-sealing films, helping to prevent cross-contamination and sample loss.

 

Manufactured from inert, medical-grade virgin polypropylene, these plates are:

  • Chemically resistant and suitable for a wide range of reagents
  • Certified RNase, DNase, and Pyrogen free
  • Stable for storage at -80°C
  • Compatible with centrifugation and automated handling systems

The ANSI/SLAS 1-2004 (SBS) compliant footprint ensures seamless compatibility with standard fixtures, stackers, and heater/cooler blocks, making these plates a reliable choice for both manual and automated lab environments.
