PR1MA™  BHI Broth [Brain Heart Infusion Broth], Powder

Common Name: Brain Heart Infusion Broth

Recommended for the cultivation of rare microorganisms. Adding 0.1% Agar will enhance the growth of anaerobic organisms. Store at room temperature and protect from moisture and light.

Ingredients:
  • Brain Heart Infusion from solids: 17.5 g/l
  • Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin: 10.0 g/l
  • Dextrose: 2.0 g/l
  • Sodium Chloride: 5.0 g/l
  • Disodium Phosphate: 2.5 g/l

  • DCM Appearance: Homogeneous free flowing, beige
  • PPM Appearance: Light to Medium Amber/Clear
  • pH (3.7% H2O @25 oC): 7.2 - 7.6
  • Microorganism (Aspergillus niger ATCC 16404): Poor to Very Good
  • Microorganism (Candida albicans ATCC 10231): Good to Excellent
  • Microorganism (Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212): Good to Excellent
