The UNICO® 1000 Series Basic Visible Spectrophotometer is a rugged, easy-to-use instrument designed specifically for educational and general laboratory applications. With its straightforward operation and durable construction, it is an ideal choice for high school and college teaching laboratories.

Operating over a 400 to 1,000 nm wavelength range with a 20 nm spectral bandwidth, the UNICO® 1000 Series supports common instructional and analytical experiments, including Beer-Lambert law studies, absorption spectra, chlorophyll analysis, and protein (Biuret) tests. Built-in secondary filters help reduce stray light and improve measurement precision.

The instrument features a large digital display for easy reading and a student-proof safety stopper integrated into the wavelength dial to protect the monochromator and grating from damage. A USB port allows optional software connectivity for convenient data collection and reporting.
