Hoefer® Standard Format Glass Plates for Vertical Systems
Standard format glass plates are for SE660, SE600X Chroma, SE600, SE640, SE410, and SE400 Vertical Gel Electrophoresis Units.
Run as many as four 0.75, 1.0, or 1.5 mm thick gels on SE600 Series units and two gels on the SE400 Series at one time under identical conditions using the double gel capacity Divider Plates. Insert a divider plate between the glass plates that make up a single gel sandwich. Place spacers on each side of the divider plate to form two gel cavities for pouring gels. This two gel “club sandwich” fits into the same casting stand and seals perfectly.
Hoefer® PlateMate™ Glass Plate Washer and Storage Kit
Dramatically reduces glass plate loss due to chipping and cracking. Each holder can hold either ten 18 cm wide plates in the long direction or twenty 8 cm wide plates in the short direction. The adaptor can be placed in three different slots, labeled to refer to the length of the plates: 8, 10, or 12 cm.
- Glass plates fit securely into the plate holders' grooves for safe washing, rinsing, and storage
- Stainless steel handles let you carry plate holders easily and set them safely into the washing bath
- Accommodates forty 8 cm tall or twenty 18 cm wide plates
- Holds as many as twenty 10.5 cm tall plates with the optional SE103 long plate adapter accessory

Small Glass and Alumina Plates for Mini Vertical Units.
Compatible with SE300 MiniVE, SE260, and the SE250 Series Vertical Electrophoresis Systems. (see notes below).
This set includes precision-crafted glass and alumina plates for electrophoresis applications. Includes a variety of notched and rectangular plates in 10 x 8 cm and 10 x 10.5 cm sizes, ideal for customizing your vertical gel setup.
*Alumina plates are not recommended for use with the Hoefer® miniVE™ Vertical Protein Electrophoresis and Blotting System.

Hoefer® Spacers for Dual and Air Cooled Vertical Systems
Gel Spacers for SE400 and SE600 Series Vertical Electrophoresis Systems.
Engineered for consistent gel casting, these precision-machined spacers are made from high-strength, chemically resistant plastics. Available in three lengths (8, 16, and 24 cm) and multiple thicknesses (0.75 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm) to accommodate various gel formats.
All 1.0 mm spacers are white for quick identification during setup.

Hoefer® T-Spacers for Mini Vertical Systems
Compatible with SE300 MiniVE, SE260, and the SE250 Series Vertical Electrophoresis Systems.
Ensure accurate gel thickness and leak-free casting with precision-milled T-spacers. All spacers are precision-machined from durable plastics for high chemical resistance and optimum tensile strength. These spacers provide consistent alignment and long-term durability for mini vertical systems.
Available in multiple lengths (8 cm and 10.5 cm) and thicknesses (0.75 mm, 1.0 mm, and 1.5 mm) to suit your specific gel requirements.

Several specially designed converter plates convert a transilluminator's 302nm ultraviolet radiation .
- To white light for viewing protein gels, coomassie blue stained or silver stained media. The Converter Plate's uniquely phosphored glass assembly (patent pending) converts the UV radiation via a white diffuser
- Convert UV:
- To 460-470nm with the Visi-BlueT plate for viewing GFP stains
- To 365nm UV with the UV/UV plate for preparation and gel excision
- The scratch-resistant glass is mounted in a metal housing for durability
- Rubber seal stops the plate from sliding
- Handles are situated on two sides of the plate for easy handling
- Several standard plate sizes are available; custom sizes are also available
- Small footprint for benchtop use
- Preset and manual controls for ultraviolet or time exposures. Preset exposure delivers 120,000 microjoules or five minutes of exposure
