Five-O™ 5 mL Screw-Cap MacroTubes® combine the durability and convenience of traditional 15 mL conical tubes with a compact, resource-efficient 5 mL format. Designed for enhanced space savings and reduced plastic consumption, these versatile polypropylene tubes support a wide range of laboratory workflows, from boiling applications to long-term sample preservation at –86°C to +121°C.

Choose between sterile racked packaging with attached screw caps or non-sterile bulk packaging with separate caps. The racked format features foam racks similar to those used for 15 mL tubes but requires approximately 60% less storage space. These tubes are fully compatible with standard laboratory equipment, making it easy to integrate them into existing centrifugation, storage, and processing protocols.

Five-O™ MacroTubes® deliver exceptional clarity, dual graduations at 0.2 mL and 0.5 mL, and are certified RNase-, DNase-, and pyrogen-free, ensuring clean and reliable performance in molecular biology and general lab applications. With a maximum centrifugal force rating of 25,000 x g, they meet the demands of high-speed centrifugation.

TotalPure™ Metal Free Centrifuge Tubes

Total-Pure™ Centrifuge Tubes are produced from a proprietary purified polypropylene blend that is certified to be free of trace metal content. Tested via ICP-MS, these tubes are certified to contain less than 1ppm of common trace metals including: Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Iron, Manganese, Copper, Aluminum, Silicon, Nickel, Vanadium, Sodium, Phosphorous, Cobalt, Chromium, Potassium, Lithium, Lead, Selenium, Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic.

In addition to a superior level of purity, TotalPure™ Tubes include a wide array of premium features. These tubes are engineered to withstand a max centrifugation rate of 20,000 x g, with this RCF specification printed directly on both the 15 mL and 50 mL tubes. These tubes also feature Hi-Viz™ graduations that are easily identified at any angle and the printed max-freeze line indicates the maximum allowable volume to be frozen inside the tubes. TotalPure’s natural color caps offer a smooth seal that is easy to open/close with one hand without compromising the integrity of the 95kPA leak-proof seal.

MTC™ Bio Culture Tubes are ideal for laboratory sample collection, culturing, and storage. Available in 12 x 75 mm (5 mL) and 17 x 100 mm (14 mL) sizes, these high-quality plastic tubes come with dual-position LDPE snap caps for flexible use.

In the first cap position, the tube allows air exchange, ideal for aerobic culturing. The second position creates a leak-proof, airtight seal, perfect for anaerobic applications or secure sample storage.

Choose from two tube materials:

• Crystal-Clear Polystyrene (PS): Withstands temperatures from 0°C to 70°C and can be centrifuged up to 2000 x g.
• Durable Polypropylene (PP): Resists temperatures from -86°C to 121°C, making it ideal for extreme storage and autoclaving. These tubes tolerate centrifugation up to 4000 x g.

Options include:

• Tubes with attached snap caps and molded graduations
• Tubes without caps and graduation-free

5 mL SnapCap MacroTubes®

5 mL SnapCap MacroTubes® offer a largervolume alternative to standard 1.5 mL tubes while maintaining the same convenience, clarity, and ease of use. Made from high-quality polypropylene, each tube features an attached flip-top cap that forms a tight, leak-proof seal and can be opened or closed with one hand. The cap is engineered to maintain a reliable seal across a wide temperature range from –86°C to +80°C, making these tubes suitable for a variety of laboratory applications.

Designed with the same diameter as 15 mL centrifuge tubes, MacroTubes® are fully compatible with standard centrifuge rotors, racks, and equipment. In many workflows, these tubes effectively replace 15 mL conical tubes, helping labs reduce plastic waste, minimize storage requirements, and lower shipping costs.

The shortened tube length allows standard 1 mL and 5 mL pipette tips to reach the conical bottom, preventing pipettorshaft contamination and improving sample recovery. These precision-molded, conical and round bottom tubes are perfect for a multitude of general laboratory uses. Precision crafted of extra clear virgin polypropylene in natural and colors or clear virgin polystyrene. Tube caps are made of low-density polyethylene for a secure seal and are available in a fluted plug style or dual position design that permits sample aspiration.

Polypropylene tubes are autoclavable to 122°C and freezable to -80°C. Polystyrene tubes are not autoclavable but have a nominal temperature range between 90°C and -40°C. Polyethylene caps are not autoclavable but are available pre-sterilized with many of the tube packages.

Polypropylene tubes can be centrifuged to 3000 RCF and polystyrene tubes will withstand 1500 RCF. (RCF; Relative Centrifugal Force, is not equivalent to RPM)
