Pall® Acrodisc® 13 mm Syringe Filters
These 13 mm syringe filters offer an available prefiltration layer and wide choice of filter media.
- Wide range of filter media available
- Available in 0.2 µm for UHPLC applications
- Available with prefilter for difficult to filter samples
- Color coded for easy identification
- Available with Minispike outlet to prevent "air bubble" lock in autosample vials and NMR tubes
Polypropylene housing with female Luer inlet and male slip outlet connections.
Some models feature a GxF borosilicate glass prefilter, which provides two to four times the throughput of standard glass fiber prefilter devices, allowing for quick and easy filtration of difficult-to-filter samples.
Available media options:
1. wwPTFE (water wettable) membrane has wide chemical compatibility, fast flow rates, low protein binding, and low levels of UV-absorbing extractables.
2. PVDF membrane has excellent compatibility with aggressive acids and alcohols.
3. PES (hydrophilic polyethersulfone) membrane is available in a special ion Chromatography design or with a GxF prefilter.
4. Hydrophilic Nylon membrane has excellent compatibility with esters, bases, and alcohols, and requires no prewetting.
5. Hydrophobic PTFE membrane with polypropylene support offers exceptional chemical and temperature compatibility and is ideal for gas, organic solutions, air filtration, or venting.
Certifications: All membranes are HPLC certified for low levels of
UV-absorbing extractables.

DNA Purification

Protran nitrocellulose membranes are the most frequently specified transfer media in the world for a wide range of applications. Protran membranes are manufactured using 100% pure nitrocellulose to ensure the highest binding capacity possible. Other membranes referred to as "nitrocellulose" may actually contain large amounts of cellulose acetate, which will lower the protein binding capacity. In addition to high binding capacity, Protran nitrocellulose membranes inherently have very low background. The superior surface properties of the membrane guarantees superior signal-to-noise ratios, without the need for stringent washing conditions. Unlike PVDF membranes, Protran nitrocellulose requires no methanol pre-wetting step. This makes it the membrane of choice for proteins that prefer aqueous environments. Prior to transfer, the membrane is simply wet in water and then in the transfer buffer, with no other necessary pre-treatment steps. Protran membranes exhibit the best handling strangth of all pure nitrocellulose membranes.

capsules with Omega™ membrane
Reusable TFF Device for Bioprocessing Applications
Accelerates and Simplifies Processing of Up to 1 L
Efficient processing. Concentration and diafiltration
(desalting or buffer exchange) processes can be performed on the same system
with minimal user intervention.
Achieves high concentration factors in a single step due to
the low holdup volume of the device. Process sample volumes up to 1 L or more
and efficiently concentrate samples to as little as 5 mL.
Minimate™ TFF capsule includes all fittings and tubing to simplify installation into filtration setups. This versatile, self-contained device works with a variety of positive pressure laboratory pumps.
Cost-effective design for non-critical applications. The plastic construction of the Minimate™ TFF capsule and chemical compatibility of the Omega™ PES ultrafiltration membrane facilitate cleaning and reuse.
Scalable. Several Minimate™ TFF capsules may be connected in parallel for increased membrane area. (For more information, contact Pall Technical Service.) -Minimate™ TFF capsules have the same path length and materials of construction as larger Pall Centramate™ and Centrasette™ cassette systems used in pilot and production plants. Predictable performance saves time when scaling up a process.
High product recovery. Optimized flow path design coupled
with low protein binding Omega membrane minimize non-specific binding.
Reusable economically-priced device can be dedicated to a
single batch or process eliminating the time required for cleaning and
validation.
Each Minimate™ capsule is 100% integrity tested during manufacture to ensure reliable performance. For critical applications, the user can re-test the integrity after initial use. A Certificate of Quality is included with each capsule.
