LiteSafe™ Centrifuge Tubes

These tubes are completely opaque, therefore protecting even the most light sensitive compounds. Midsci LiteSafe™ tubes eliminate the inconvenience of fitting tubes with aluminum foil to protect samples. Ideal for use with fluorescent probes or ethidium bromide.

Disposable polypropylene tubes and caps with recessed lid to prevent leaking. Frosted writing surface allows for permanent identification and labeling. Autoclavable to 122°C and can be stored in freezers to -100°C.

Large centrifuge tubes are perfect for clarifying large volume solutions or concentrating live cells in tissue culture. Made from pure pre-tested medical-grade resins to ensure the integrity of your work. Each lot is tested and certified free of RNase/DNase, Endotoxins, and is non-pyrogenic. Resins are pre-tested, and are free of ATP, Oleamide, DiHEMDA, and Phthalates. These tubes come in unique balanced packages of 2 tubes, so you don’t have to worry about resealing bags or re-sterilizing these tubes. They also include our exclusive caps with an integral elastomeric sealing ring that eliminates leaking. Sterile tubes have been sterilized with a validated medical-grade process using radiation.

15mL and 50 mL screw cap centrifuge tubes that are now available in individual sterile packets. Individual packets eliminate the worry of whether or not tubes in an already opened bag are still sterile and creates an ease of not having to fumble around with open bags or racks of 50 tubes. These are sterile right up until the time you open the convenient easy peel package.

The conical 15ml and 50ml centrifuge tubes are made of premium polypropylene for clarity and centrifugal strength. Tubes and caps may be frozen at temperatures as low as -86°C. The maximum centrifugal force is 12,000xg for the 15ml tubes and 15,000xg for the 50 ml tubes*. Caps have a flat top surface for easy marking and labeling.

5 mL SuperClear® snap cap centrifuge tubes are an efficient alternative to 15 mL tubes. Designed to fit the same rotors as our 15 mL centrifuge tubes, you can use these tubes in procedures that require smaller sample volumes.

The interior surfaces are ultra-smooth with low retention characteristics. Lab testing confirms the superior performance of SuperClear® tubes in light transmission compared to other brands. SuperClear® tubes are more than twice as effective at transmitting light than other brands of 5 mL centrifuge tubes.

SuperClear® tubes feature an extra-thick and durable wall that can withstand centrifugation to 25,000 x G, more than twice some other brands. The ultra-clear polypropylene resin gives you a clear view of the pellet as well as correct color rendition. Designed with ergonomic caps and smooth surfaces.

Tubes have flat, pierceable caps and a side writing surface and are packaged In resealable bags.
