PR1MA Luria Broth Granulated [Miller's LB Broth]

For propagation and maintenance of E. Coli. High Salt Formula. Molecular Biology Grade.

Dissolve 25 grams in 1 liter distilled water and adjust the pH to 7.2. Heat and frequently agitate to completely dissolve. Sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes. Material specially granulated to reduce dust and increase solubility rate.

Ingredients:

  • Tryptone:10 g/L
  • Sodium Chloride: 10 g/L
  • Yeast Extract: 5 g/L

Research or further manufacturing use only, not for food or drug use.

  • Appearance: Cream to beige granular powder
  • DCM Appearance: Homogeneous, free flowing beige to yellow-beige
  • PPM Appearance: Clear, yellow to amber no precipitate (ppt)
  • Appearance of Solution: Prepared medium is yellow to gold and clear to moderately hazy
  • pH (2.5% H2O @25 °C): 6.8 - 7.2
  • Microorganism (E. coli ATCC 23724): Good to Excellent
  • Microorganism (E. coli ATCC 33694): Good to Excellent
