Inhibitor of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Inhibits the crosslinking of peptidoglycan by binding and inactivating transpeptidases. High activity against gram negative bacteria. Often used for elimination of Agrobacterium species after inoculation. Resistant to B-Lactamase activity.
