Spin Doctor Genomic DNA Prep Kit

  • Clean DNA, without contaminants or enzyme inhibitors.
  • Simple and easy to follow protocol.
  • Reduced sample preparation time.
  • No phenol, chloroform, caustic materials, mechanical homogenization.
  • All liquid process eliminates the use of a binding resin (spin column), therefore, yields are greatly increased and time is reduced.

The Spin Doctor Genomic DNA Isolation Kit provides for rapid and consistent isolation of up to 60 ug genomic DNA from animal tissues or cells.

  • Format: Individual 2.0 mL tubes with proprietary enzyme.
  • Sample Origination: Animal tissues or cells.
  • Throughput: 1-24 samples (only limited by heat block and centrifuge capacity)
  • Preparation Time: 30 minutes after lysis.
  • Typical Yield: 40-60 ug
  • Re-suspension Volume: 250 ul

Principle
The Spin Doctor Genomic DNA Isolation Kit utilizes a convenient room temperature enzyme tube and unique wash solutions in order to rapidly isolate DNA from animal cells or tissues. This process eliminates the need for binding resins (spin columns), phenol, chloroform, or mechanical homogenization.

Procedure
After an overnight digestion at 57°C the samples are washed with the included proprietary buffers, re-suspended, and centrifuged. This entire process may be completed in less than 30 minutes using multiple samples. DNA is ready for any downstream application including:

Agarose Gel analysis of genomic DNA from 3 distinct mouse tail samples (1 millimeter section) prepared with the Spin Dr. Genomic DNA Isolation Kit. 15uL of sample was digested with 3 uL of ECO R1 and run on a 1% gel.

PCR analysis of 1 ul samples of 3 distinct mouse tails using both GAPDH and Wild Type Primers.
