Features:
- Resolution to 1bp on 8cm running distance
- High Throughput with up to 2500 samples per day
- Direct recovery of bands to be used for downstream applications
- Accurate sizing due to high temperature electrophoresis
- Zoom in on the exact fragment needed by choosing desired exclusion limit gel; molecules who size is above the limit do not enter the gel
- High sensitivity means less DNA needs to be loaded
- Available in exclusion limits of 300, 400, 500, 600, 800, and 1200
- Available in multiple well formats for 8 to 400 samples
- Standard 1XTAE buffer is used as the running buffer
Spreadex gels are for use in the Elchrom Origins and SEA2000 instruments. The Spreadex gels are NAT gels, a non-agarose, non-acrylamide mixture which provides sensational resolution from 20bp to 1000bp. This resolution is 3X higher than the resolving power of any other synthetic gel matrix. Spreadex EL300 and EL 400 gels resolve fragments of only 1 bp difference for a total fragment length of up to about 160bp. DNA fragments differing by 4 bp are easily resolved on all Spreadex gels.
Spreadex gels have many uses, including microsatellite analysis, RFLP, Multiplex PCR, Competitive PCR, Allele Specific PCR and RNA Analysis.
Spreadex gels should be stored flat at 4°C for up to 6 months.
